Google Doodles
About the project
Google Doodles are a special temporary alteration of the logo on Google’s homepages to commemorate holidays, events, achievements and historical figures. Doodles receive positive press coverage, but minimal branded media amplification, so we were asked to create 15 second promo videos for Google to be able to share across social channels including X and YouTube.
The videos celebrate the birth of Violet King Henry (Canada’s first black female lawyer) on her 94th birthday, and a bespoke artwork by Inuit artist Gayle Uyagaqi Kabloona to honor Mitiarjuk Nappaaluk (renowned novelist and historian) for National Indigenous Peoples Day.
Working closely with the Google Canada Team and the campaign’s illustrators, I worked from concepts & wireframes to storyboards & designs to overseeing animation, music & final deliveries (in multiple formats and in both English and French).
